Benedictine University has unveiled the recipients of the Senior Awards for the 2023-2024 academic year. The awards ceremony, known as The Night of Honor & Gratitude, is set to take place on Saturday, April 27th at 4:00pm. The Honors Committee, chaired by Dr. Darya Aleinikava, has carefully selected students who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and achievement during their time at Benedictine University.
Victoria Alvarado has been honored with the Benedictine Hallmark Award for exemplifying the 10 Benedictine Hallmarks throughout her time at the university. Michael Wulffe is the recipient of the Resilience Award, recognizing his significant achievements in the face of personal or financial hardships.
Hiba Siddiqui has been awarded the Community Service Award for her outstanding contributions to various spheres such as religious, educational, social, or political activities. Zohaib Farooq has been recognized with the Benedictine University Service Award for his exceptional service to the university and fellow students.
The Bishop Daniel Kucera Award has been bestowed upon Lisa O’Brien in acknowledgment of her contributions to external service, leadership in her home community, and academic achievements while managing other responsibilities. Ali Ebraheemi has been presented with the Thomas J. Dyba Leadership Award for his exceptional ability to initiate and organize activities and lead others on campus.
In the realm of academic honors, Jacob Pipowski from the College of Science and Health, Samiha Syed from the College of Liberal Arts, and Alexis Langford from the School of Education have been commended for their achievements in their respective fields of study. Ayesha Moosani has been honored with the prestigious Procopian Award, recognizing her consistent outstanding performance in curricular and extra-curricular activities.
The Honors Committee, consisting of esteemed faculty members and administrators, has expressed their pride in the remarkable students at Benedictine University and extended their best wishes for their future endeavors.
