On January 20, 2025, Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States, marking the beginning of his second term. On his first day back in office, President Trump signed a series of executive orders that align with his America First agenda.

The executive actions taken by President Trump include recognizing the sex binary and removing gender ideology from federal government policy. This includes ending the practice of housing males in female prisons and women's shelters, defunding sex-change procedures for prisoners, and clarifying that Title IX protects female sports' integrity. Additionally, he ended government support for "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion" (DEI) programs and prohibited federal censorship of protected free speech.

Terry Schilling, president of American Principles Project (APP), expressed support for these actions. He stated: “It is truly a new day in America! Today, President Donald Trump has begun the effort of restoring our nation to the principles that made it great. He’s off to an excellent start."

Schilling further commented on Trump's efforts: "With the hundreds of executive orders signed today, President Trump has taken important steps to eliminate gender ideology and DEI from our government, depoliticize our military and justice system, and reinstitute protections for free speech and religious liberty."

While acknowledging that more work remains to be done to address what he describes as damage from far-left policies, Schilling conveyed optimism about working with the administration: "President Trump has made clear he understands and is prepared for the task ahead. We look forward to working with the incoming administration to ensure the president is able to deliver on his ambitious, pro-family agenda. It’s time to Make America Great Again!”
