"Way of the Cross: A Walk for Justice," a 1.5-mile ecumenical Stations of the Cross, is scheduled to take place in downtown Louisville on Good Friday, March 29. The event will commence at Martin Luther King Jr. Park on Chestnut Street between Sixth and Seventh Streets. The Living Stations of the Cross, presented by St. Athanasius School students, will be held multiple times during Holy Week at the church located at 5915 Outer Loop.

For those interested in the Polish Catholic tradition of Święconka, a blessing of food for Easter Sunday, the event will be held at Epiphany Church’s Parish House on March 30 at noon. To participate, individuals are encouraged to bring baskets of food samples for blessings on Holy Saturday.

A Special Disciples of Jesus Mass tailored for special-needs families and friends will be conducted on March 24 at 3 p.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, followed by a light reception. Those seeking further details can contact Tara Mattingly at 690-2851 or tmattingly@stmm.org.

Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre will lead the annual Chrism Mass at the Cathedral of the Assumption on March 26 at 7 p.m., where holy oils used by parishes throughout the year will be blessed and consecrated.

The Marian Committee will host a First Saturday Devotion at St. Ignatius Martyr Church on April 6, featuring Mass, devotion, reconciliation, adoration, and benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

St. Margaret Mary Church will host VENTUS, a service with eucharistic adoration and modern worship music, on April 3, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Volunteers are needed to assist Catholic Charities’ refugee clients with lawn mowing from April 1 through Sept. 9. Those interested should contact Karen at kpate@archlou.org for more details.

The Catholic Enrichment Center is seeking volunteers to help with various tasks and Dare to Care services; interested individuals can call 776-0262 for more information.

Father Pat Dolan will speak on “Relationships Among Priests” on April 1 at the Golden Corral, organized by the St. Serra Club of Louisville.

The Catholic Single Adults Club is hosting a dinner for singles aged 50 and over at Applebee’s on March 24.

Members of St. Vincent de Paul School’s class of 1955 are invited to a reunion this summer, while St. Margaret Mary School’s class of 1974 is planning a 50-year reunion for the weekend of June 14.

Support groups like Ups & Downs, GRASP, and PAL are available for individuals dealing with loss, grief, depression, anxiety, or addiction-related losses.

Various educational programs and presentations on topics like climate change, Alzheimer’s, and Christian enrichment are also scheduled in the community.

For those interested in participating in the Adult Christian Enrichment Programs offered by St. Albert and St. Bernadette churches, classes are available via Zoom on Thursdays and Fridays covering challenges presented in Scripture. To register, individuals can call Lynnette LeGette at 802-5966.
