The Archdiocese of Louisville Family Ministries Office has announced a new training program aimed at individuals interested in providing pastoral care to the sick. Scheduled to begin on April 4, the six-session program will equip participants with the necessary skills to offer support to those who are homebound, in hospitals, or residing in nursing homes.

According to the Archdiocese of Louisville Family Ministries Office, the program will focus on training individuals to provide compassionate care in various settings. "The program will train people to provide pastoral care for those who are homebound or in hospitals or nursing homes," stated the office.

The classes will take place at St. Margaret Mary Church, located at 7813 Shelbyville Road, on Thursdays in April, starting on April 4, and continuing on May 9 and 16. Participants have the flexibility to attend any or all sessions, as highlighted by the Archdiocese of Louisville Family Ministries Office: "Participants may attend any or all sessions."

Interested individuals can participate in the training program at a cost of $10 per session. Those looking to register or obtain more information about the program are encouraged to reach out to Denise Bouchard in the Family and Life Ministries Office.
