Hosparus Health, a leading provider of hospice and palliative care, has announced that it will be offering volunteer training sessions over the next six months. The sessions will take place at their main office in Louisville, located at 6200 Dutchmans Lane.

According to a press release from Hosparus, the training sessions will provide volunteers with the necessary skills and knowledge to support seriously ill patients and their caregivers. The sessions will cover various aspects of volunteering, including direct patient support, respite for caregivers, bereavement care, and veteran-to-veteran companionship.

"We are excited to offer these volunteer training sessions," said Jane Doe, Volunteer Coordinator at Hosparus Health. "Volunteers play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support to our patients and their families."

The organization is particularly in need of patient-support volunteers in Jefferson, Bullitt, Henry, Shelby, Spencer, and Trimble counties. Currently, there is a high demand for volunteers who are able to visit patients at their homes.

"We have seen an increased need for volunteers who can provide in-home visits," explained John Smith, a representative from Hosparus Health. "These visits make a tremendous difference in the lives of our patients and their families, offering them companionship and support during their difficult times."

Registration for the training sessions is free but required. The next training session will take place on February 21. Interested individuals are encouraged to fill out a volunteer application form on the Hosparus Health website at hosparushealth.org/volunteers. The deadline for registration for the upcoming session is February 9.

"We welcome individuals from all walks of life to join our team of dedicated volunteers," said Jane Doe. "By giving their time and compassion, they can make a meaningful impact on the lives of those facing serious illnesses."

Hosparus Health has been providing compassionate care to patients and families in need for many years. Through their volunteer programs, they have been able to extend their reach and support even more individuals during their most challenging times.

As the demand for hospice and palliative care continues to grow, organizations like Hosparus Health rely on the dedication and commitment of volunteers to provide the best possible care to their patients. By offering volunteer training sessions, Hosparus Health is ensuring that their volunteers are equipped with the necessary skills to make a difference in the lives of those they serve.
