Bishop Neumann High School in Wahoo, Nebraska, is gearing up to kick off Catholic Schools Week with a concert by the Kyle Huelsing Band. The event will take place on Sunday, January 28th, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Bishop Neumann Gym. Families from all around the Catholic Diocese of Lincoln are invited to attend.

The Kyle Huelsing Band, a Catholic worship band based in St. Louis, is no stranger to the Catholic youth scene. They have been performing at the Steubenville Youth Conference for several years, leaving a lasting impression on many high school students.

According to Gery Kenney, the campus minister at Bishop Neumann, the band's performance at the Steubenville conference has provided students with a unique encounter with Christ, especially during adoration. Kenney explained, "Our hope in bringing Kyle's band to Bishop Neumann is to allow our parents and families to get the chance to be part of that encounter. It will be a great way to celebrate our Catholic schools!"

The concert will feature a time of adoration with praise and worship music, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. It is open to anyone in the diocese and is family-friendly. While there is no cost to attend, free-will donations will be accepted to support the band.

But the concert is just the beginning of a week-long celebration. On Monday, Bishop Neumann will have a Eucharistic procession, with Kyle's band playing during that time as well. Tuesday will be dedicated to honoring teachers, with a faculty and staff breakfast. Wednesday will be "Student Appreciation Day," filled with fun activities such as a Kahoot game, dodgeball, and a talent show competition. Grandparents are invited to an all-school Mass on Thursday, and the week will conclude with a day off for students while the faculty from the Saunders County Schools attend a retreat.

Catholic Schools Week is an important event that highlights the value of Catholic education and the impact it has on students' lives. It is a time for the community to come together and celebrate the faith-based education provided by schools like Bishop Neumann High School. So mark your calendars and join in the celebration of Catholic Schools Week at Bishop Neumann High School on January 28th. As Gery Kenney said, "It will be a great way to celebrate our Catholic schools!"
