Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church issued the following announcement on June 21

Covid-19 has interrupted all of our lives. The poor and homeless are feeling the effects of this pandemic on so many more levels than the average family. Their requests to OLA’s St. Vincent de Paul Society for financial assistance have increased substantially. OLA-SVdP is helping many families in our community with no means to provide basic needs for their children and elderly. Many are homeless or struggling because of recent layoffs in the service industry. We are closely monitoring the influx of calls and tracking trends in order to provide immediate assistance to those who need it most. Your donations to help these families in our community are needed now more than ever. Please donate ONLINE through the OLA Online Giving site. To Donate to the OLA St. Vincent de Paul Society go to www.olachurch.org and click the “Online Giving” button at the center of the page.
