Sally Blount President and CEO | Archdiocese of Chicago
The Archdiocese of Chicago is set to host its 23rd annual Noche de Gala dinner and awards ceremony on Friday, November 7, 2025. The event will take place at the Chateau Del Mar in Hickory Hills, Illinois, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Cardinal Blase Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, and Bishop Jose M. Maria Garcia-Maldonado, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese, are scheduled to deliver remarks.
The gathering will bring together attendees from parishes throughout the archdiocese to recognize individuals and ministries for their leadership and service within Hispanic communities.
Bishop Maldonado stated, “This evening is more than a gala—it is a sacred moment. A moment to recommit ourselves to the Gospel. To rise with those who are suffering. To walk with the migrant, the poor, the forgotten. To be the Church that welcomes, defends, and heals.”
Jorge DeSantiago, weekend anchor and reporter for Telemundo Chicago, will serve as Master of Ceremonies during the program.
The event includes an awards ceremony honoring those whose contributions have strengthened faith and unity among Catholics in Chicago’s Hispanic community.
Nearly 40% of parishes within the Archdiocese offer Spanish-language Masses—a reflection of the significant role played by Hispanic Catholics in local church life.
