Archbishop Allen Vigneron | Archdiocese of Detriot

On February 5, 2025, Archbishop Vigneron issued a decree establishing Orchard Lake Schools in Orchard Lake, Michigan as a Public Association of Christ's Faithful. This action grants the institution public juridic personality.

Orchard Lake Schools is made up of St. Mary Preparatory, Polish Mission, and Our Lady of Orchard Lake Chapel, which houses the Archdiocesan Shrine of St. John Paul II.

The decision to create Orchard Lake Schools as a Public Association of Christ's Faithful follows the cessation of operations at Saints Cyril and Methodius Seminary. The seminary will be canonically suppressed in due course.
