The Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe in Orlando hosted a significant gathering on June 21, 2025. The event, known as the Eucharistic Pilgrimage: The Gift of Sacred Mystery, attracted people from various cultures to celebrate Corpus Christi.

Father Miguel González, rector of St. James Cathedral, delivered a keynote address before Mass. He spoke about Christ's presence in the Church and invited attendees to be "Pilgrims of Hope." Father González emphasized Jesus' presence in the tabernacle and encouraged people to listen and be available for others. He shared personal anecdotes about his father’s devotion and how it influenced his understanding of faith.

"The central aspect of Jesus’ ministry was to show compassion," he stated, highlighting the peace offered by the Blessed Sacrament.

Bishop John Noonan followed with a homily reflecting on past popes as "architects of peace" and stressed that true peace comes through Christ. He cited Pope Leo XIV's words and explained that peace is found in Church rituals like Holy Communion.

Bishop Noonan also quoted Pope Francis’ encyclical Dilexit Nos: “The heart of Christ is ecstasy, openness, gift and encounter.” He urged participation in Eucharist and Adoration as means to strengthen unity with God.

Both religious leaders called for service inspired by Christ’s mission for peace on earth.
