Saint Edmond's Home for Children, part of the Developmental Programs Division of Catholic Charities of Philadelphia, is set to host its second annual prom for residents. The event will take place on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the home located at 320 South Roberts Road in Rosemont, PA. This year's theme is "Out of this World."

Founded in 1916 by Archbishop Edmond Prendergast, Saint Edmond’s Home for Children was initially established to serve children affected by polio. Originally located in Philadelphia and managed by the Sisters of Bon Secours, it was the first Catholic institution of its kind in America. Now based in Rosemont, Delaware County, Saint Edmond's continues its mission as a residential facility for children and young adults with severe intellectual and physical disabilities.
Saint Edmond’s Home focuses on providing a wide range of services and compassionate care to medically fragile children up to age 21. More information can be found at stedmondshome.org.
