Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre is set to lead a Mass of Thanksgiving for the newly elected Pope Leo XIV. The event will take place at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 12, at the Cathedral of the Assumption in downtown Louisville. The ceremony is open to all who wish to attend.

Pope Leo XIV, previously known as Cardinal Robert F. Prevost, was elected on May 8 during the first full day of the conclave. Originally from Chicago, he becomes the 267th pope and marks a historic moment as the first American to assume this role.
