Hildegard House, located at 114 Adams St., is actively seeking volunteers to serve as compassionate companions, assisting individuals receiving end-of-life care who lack a home or family to support them.

According to a statement from Hildegard House, volunteers will commit to a weekly five-hour shift to support residents, ensuring they can die with dignity while receiving hospice care. For those interested, a training session for new volunteers is scheduled for May 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additional details and tour scheduling can be found at hildegardhouse.org, or by contacting a volunteer coordinator at 581-8267.
