Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez | Archdiocese of Philedelphia
Catholic Social Services (CSS) of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will host a Mother's Day brunch for mothers who benefit from its housing and community-based programs. The gathering will see around 125 attendees, including nearly 100 mothers, children, and supporters, as well as staff and volunteers from Saint Cecelia Parish, located in Northeast Philadelphia. Reverend Christopher M. Walsh, Pastor of Saint Cecilia Parish, will deliver a special blessing to the mothers and children attending the event.
Scheduled for Saturday, May 3, 2025, the brunch will take place at the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center in Philadelphia. The event will offer various activities such as food, music, games, raffles, and a spring fashion show. Participants will also receive gift cards and newly purchased items funded through donations from CSS and the Archdiocesan Office for Child and Youth Protection during National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
CSS provides a wide range of services to assist new and expecting mothers throughout the year. These services include prenatal and parenting classes, events and support groups, connections to medical services, and referrals to additional services addressing the needs of women and their newborns. CSS also provides necessities such as baby food, diapers, and furniture.
