On April 21, 2025, Pope Francis shared an Easter message focusing on themes of hope and unity in a world facing numerous challenges. His message, featured on the 2025 Easter card from the Vatican’s Dicastery for Integral Human Development, emphasizes celebrating Christ’s Resurrection as a victory of life over death and a call to build bridges of hope and peace.

The Vatican’s Dicastery for Integral Human Development aims to advance justice, peace, and care for creation within the framework of Gospel teachings and the Social Doctrine of the Church. It pays special attention to issues of disarmament, human rights, and modern forms of slavery among other concerns. The Dicastery supports those displaced from their countries, marginalised individuals, and victims of conflict and natural disasters.

The Church’s Jubilee this year focuses on living with hope, which is reflected in various global Church celebrations. Among these, the Vatican is highlighting the World Day for Migrants and Refugees under the theme "Migrants, Missionaries of Hope" and the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation centering on "Seeds of Peace and Hope."

In Hawaii, Bishop Larry Silva's Easter message encouraged evangelization, aligning with the global mission to share the "Good News." The Easter edition of the Hawaii Catholic Herald included a mural of the Resurrection from the Sanctuary of the Holy Family Church in Ramallah, West Bank, emphasizing hope in a conflict-torn region.

Easter greetings in the Hawaii Catholic Herald echoed the central message of peace, hope, and joy. Messages included wishes for the presence and glory of the risen Lord, the peace of Christ, and the blessings of hope and joy during the Easter season. These greetings aim to inspire faith and encourage living as missionaries of hope and peace.
