Reverend Joseph E. Kurtz, D.D. Bishop | Archdiocese of Louisville
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is organizing its seventh annual Roses & Rosé brunch on April 27, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at The Olmsted located at 3701 Frankfort Ave. This event aims to raise funds for the organization's Domestic Violence Transitional Housing Program, which supports survivors and their families escaping domestic violence, sexual assault, or human trafficking.
Mackenzie Greenwell, the senior events and development coordinator for the agency, reported that in the last fiscal year, the program assisted 101 families—over 200 individuals including 99 children. Additionally, some of these families were aided in finding more stable housing.
In conjunction with this event, St. Vincent de Paul will also host a dinner for families benefiting from the housing program. This dinner is scheduled for a week after the Roses & Rosé event. Community members have an opportunity to sponsor a meal for these families by purchasing tickets to the brunch.
Tickets are priced at $75 and can be purchased through svdplou.maestroweb.com/. For further information, Mackenzie Greenwell can be contacted at 272-2134 or mgreenwell@svdplou.org.
