St. Xavier High School has announced a significant investment of $2.5 million aimed at renovating its classrooms and laboratories. The initiative, revealed on March 20, focuses primarily on enhancing the science department's facilities to "strengthen and expand its robust science curriculum," according to a statement from the school.
The project also includes updates to the social studies department’s classrooms. In total, 20 classrooms and labs are slated for renovation as part of this effort.
Paul Colistra, president of St. Xavier High School, expressed gratitude for the support received from alumni and benefactors: “I continue to be humbled by the dedication of our alumni and friends towards our programs, facilities and scholarship offerings.” He emphasized that the school is committed to building upon the educational legacy left by the Xaverian Brothers.
This renovation aligns with St. Xavier’s strategic plan that aims for a comprehensive update of all 65 classrooms within the institution. The funding for these projects was secured through several financial contributions, including a notable $1 million donation from an unnamed benefactor.
