Benedictine University Associate Professor Paula Milas Sochacki has been honored with the Outstanding Dietetic Educator Award for 2025. The award, in the Didactic Program in Dietetics NDEP South Central Region category, acknowledges her contributions to teaching, mentoring, and leadership within ACEND-accredited dietetics education programs.

The award is part of a program that highlights faculty excellence across various NDEP program types in different geographic regions. Only one educator from each program type can be selected per region.

Dr. Sochacki expressed her gratitude, stating: "Receiving the Outstanding Dietetics Educator of the Year award is an incredible honor, and I am deeply touched by my colleagues and students who nominated me. This award signifies the passion and dedication that I have for creating meaningful connections with others through leadership, volunteer and learning opportunities."

She will be formally recognized at the Nutrition and Dietetic Educators and Preceptors meeting later this year.
