Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez | Archdiocese of Philedelphia
Sixty-two students from Archdiocesan and private Catholic high schools in the five-county region will participate in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia's 2025 All Catholic Orchestra. The annual concert will take place on March 22, 2025, at Pope John Paul II High School in Royersford.
The orchestra will be conducted by guest conductor Joseph Brennan, a music educator and clinician. Marusia Lynn, Fine Arts Chair at Pope John Paul II High School, will host the event.
Participating schools include Archbishop John Carroll High School, Archbishop Ryan High School, Archbishop Wood High School, Bishop Shanahan High School, Cardinal O’Hara High School, Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls, Lansdale Catholic High School, and Pope John Paul II High School from the Archdiocesan secondary schools. Private Catholic high schools involved are Academy of Notre Dame de Namur, Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School, Holy Ghost Preparatory School, Saint Joseph’s Preparatory School, Merion Mercy Academy, Mount Saint Joseph Academy, Nazareth Academy High School, Sacred Heart Academy Bryn Mawr, Villa Joseph Marie High School, and Villa Maria Academy High School.
The program includes "Farandole" from L’Arlesienne Suite No. 2 by Georges Bizet; "Bacchanale" from Samson & Delilah by Camille Saint-Saëns; "Song Without Words" by Gustav Holst; "Pirate of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" by Klaus Badelt; and "Dance of the Tumblers" from Snow Maiden by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
