Christian Brothers University (CBU) recently organized its Career & Internship Expo, offering students a chance to meet with employers from diverse industries. The event, held on campus, saw participation from over 200 students who were keen to network and explore job and internship possibilities.
The expo featured 65 organizations, including prominent employers like FedEx, Orgill, BlueOval, UTHSC, Baptist Memorial Healthcare, Pickering, Turner Construction, ABB, and MLGW. While many attendees were from engineering and computer science backgrounds, students from other fields such as the arts also found valuable opportunities.
Recruiters at various tables encouraged students to scan QR codes for job applications and some students even secured interviews during the event. Employers expressed interest in recruiting more CBU students in future events.
Amy Ware, Assistant Vice President of External Relations and Career Services at CBU, highlighted the significance of these events: “Our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to directly connect with employers to secure a job or internship,” she said.
Career Services at CBU continues its mission to prepare students for their professional lives post-graduation by facilitating connections essential for launching their careers.
