Bishop Thomas John Paprocki | Diocese of Springfield
The Dominican Sisters of Springfield are inviting participants to join them for "Stay with Me: Lenten Prayer for Disciples," a series of virtual sessions scheduled at 7 p.m. on the Wednesdays of Lent, starting March 5. These sessions aim to help participants focus on the struggles of those whom Jesus often accompanied.
In addition, Springs in the Desert has introduced their first hardcover Lenten devotional titled "Carried: A Desert Companion." This pocket-sized companion is designed for personal prayer and reflection and can be used individually or with a spouse.
Men seeking fellowship and spiritual growth during Lent are invited to attend "Lenten Brotherhood," a series held at Corpus Christi Priory in Springfield. Each Wednesday night during Lent will include adoration, confession, discussion, and Night Prayer. The series is hosted by Mercy Tree.
The Norbertine Fathers will host "You Are My Hope Lenten Day of Reflection" on Saturday, March 15, at Corpus Christi Priory in Springfield. This event promises a day filled with sacraments, prayer, spiritual talks, and reflection.
Women from the diocese are encouraged to participate in the Springfield Diocese Council of Catholic Women's (SDCCW) Lenten Retreat at Villa Maria Retreat Center on March 25-26. The retreat's theme is "Walking with Jesus through Holy Week" and includes talks aimed at deepening spiritual engagement.
Each of these events offers an opportunity for individuals to deepen their faith and connection with others during this reflective season.
