The Archdiocese of Chicago has announced the appointment of Dennis P. Kelleher as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this position, Kelleher will manage accounting and financial reporting for the archdiocese, lead financial planning and analysis, and oversee daily financial operations. He will also manage the internal savings and loan bank for parishes. Kelleher reports directly to Betsy Bohlen, the chief operating officer, and is part of the senior leadership team.

Kelleher's career spans over 35 years in finance and accounting leadership roles. He has previously served as CFO at McDermott Industries, CF Industries Holdings, Inc., and Pan American Energy, LLC. His career includes various financial positions with BP, plc., Amoco Corporation, and Amoco Chemicals across different countries including the U.S., U.K., Hong Kong, and Indonesia. He started his professional journey in public accountancy at Arthur Andersen & Co.
Kelleher earned a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in accountancy from the University of Illinois and holds a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Additionally, he is a certified public accountant. His involvement extends to serving on advisory boards for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago and Big Shoulders Fund.
