Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez | Archdiocese of Philedelphia
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has announced that its high schools and parochial elementary schools in the city will be closed on Friday, February 14, 2025. This decision coincides with the scheduled public celebration and parade for the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles.
The closure extends to suburban Archdiocesan high schools. However, parish and regional Catholic elementary schools in suburban counties will follow schedules set by their local administrations.
"Given projected city street closures and heavy demands on public transportation in the Philadelphia region," it was decided that these measures were necessary to accommodate the anticipated disruptions.
Suburban parish and regional Catholic elementary schools have been given autonomy to determine their operational status on that day.
