Massimiliano Tomassini, the Assistant Vice President of European Programs at St. John’s University in Rome, Italy, has successfully defended his Ph.D. research at The School of Education.

Dr. Tomassini's dissertation focused on a case study examining the culturally responsive teaching practices employed by Italian teachers when working with US undergraduate students studying abroad in Rome.

His dissertation was guided by mentors Evan T. Ortlieb, Ph.D., an Adjunct Professor in Education Specialties, and Michael R. Sampson, Ph.D., a Professor in Education Specialties at The School of Education.
