The American Principles Project (APP) has introduced a new database named "Funding Insanity," which details federal spending on programs that promote gender ideology under the Biden-Harris administration. The analysis indicates that over $174 million in grants and contracts have been allocated over the past four years to support projects both domestically and internationally.

Agencies such as the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Department of Defense, and the Department of Health and Human Services are among those involved in these expenditures. Notable projects include:

- USAID provided $1,929,783 to the American Bar Association to protect the LGBTQI+ population in the Western Balkans.

- USAID granted $1,065,702 to Bangladesh's Bandhu Social Welfare Society for supporting gender-diverse people.

- The Department of the Interior awarded $1,000,000 to convert bathrooms into gender-neutral ones at Letchworth State Park in New York.

- The Department of Defense issued contracts worth $850,000 to examine disparities in military justice based on race, ethnicity, and gender.

- Southern University A&M received $600,000 from the Department of Agriculture to study menstrual cycles in transgender men and other gender identities.

Other funded initiatives include research on authoritarian regimes using gender by the Department of Defense ($349,399.79), a Brazilian forest and gender consultant hired by the Department of Agriculture ($229,637.91), and various cultural and educational programs supported by the State Department.

Terry Schilling, APP President, criticized these expenditures: “When Americans pay their taxes every year, they expect that money to go towards projects that help them: strengthening our national defense... However... Democrats have been using public funds to instead push their radical gender agenda here at home and around the world."

Schilling expressed optimism about recent political changes: “Fortunately... last November... Donald Trump [received] a clear mandate to drain the swamp... along with Elon Musk and [the] newly formed Department of Government Efficiency."
