Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez | Archdiocese of Philedelphia
Saint John’s Hospice, a ministry of Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, is collaborating with the Knights of Columbus Philadelphia Chapter to offer early Thanksgiving meals to about 100 individuals experiencing homelessness. The event is scheduled for Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Saint John’s Hospice located at 1221 Race Street in Philadelphia.
Members of the Knights of Columbus will assist in serving hot meals prepared by the staff at Saint John’s Hospice. The organization visits SJH three times annually—on Easter Sunday, around Thanksgiving, and during Christmastime—to participate in this service project. This tradition has been ongoing since 1968, five years after the founding of Saint John’s Hospice.
