Archbishop Timothy Cardinal Dolan | Archdiocese of New York

Cardinal Timothy Michael Dolan from the Archdiocese of New York and Archbishop José H. Gomez from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles have placed a friendly wager on the outcome of the national baseball championship series between their home teams. The bet is designed to benefit Catholic school students in both archdioceses.

In a YouTube short released today, Cardinal Dolan revealed that he has offered NY bagels as part of his wager with Archbishop Gomez. In return, Archbishop Gomez has offered LA's renowned Randy’s Donuts.

The gesture highlights a spirit of camaraderie and support for education among Catholic leaders in two major U.S. cities.
