American Catholic Tribune Jul 12, 2024

Catholics unable to attend the 10th National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis from July 17-21 can watch or listen to key portions of the event, including evening revival sessions featuring speakers and musicians such as Bishop Robert E. Barron, Father Mike Schmitz, and Matt Maher.

The Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) and Relevant Radio will broadcast parts of the congress, which will also be livestreamed by the National Eucharistic Congress from Lucas Oil Stadium. The congress is a significant part of the National Eucharistic Revival, a three-year initiative by U.S. bishops aimed at deepening understanding and love for Jesus in the Eucharist.

EWTN's live coverage begins on July 17 at 6 p.m. ET with continued broadcasts through July 20. Highlights include daily Masses, impact sessions, breakout sessions, and evening revival sessions. On July 20, EWTN will cover a Eucharistic procession in downtown Indianapolis at 2:45 p.m., while Sunday’s final revival session airs at 8:30 a.m., followed by the closing Mass at 10 a.m.

Relevant Radio’s live broadcast starts on July 17 with pre-event coverage beginning at 3 p.m. ET and continues until July 21. Daily programming includes morning Masses, impact sessions, and popular shows such as “The Patrick Madrid Show” and “Trending with Timmerie.” Special segments include “Relevant Radio Presents” on July 19 from 2-4 p.m., featuring Drew Mariani leading a Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

The National Eucharistic Congress Inc. will also provide livestreaming of events on its website, including morning Masses, Encounter impact sessions, and daily revival sessions. Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle will celebrate the closing Mass as Pope Francis' special envoy.

Tim Glemkowski, CEO of National Eucharistic Congress Inc., emphasized that the event's commissioning extends beyond attendees to all Catholics across the United States who engage via media.

Catholics participating remotely can receive Pope Francis’ apostolic blessing with plenary indulgence if they meet certain conditions such as sacramental confession and Communion.

The congress marks the start of the Year of Mission in the National Eucharistic Revival’s third year, encouraging Catholics to deepen their faith understanding and invite others back to church.
