The U.S. Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments in the case of Idaho v. United States, which focuses on Joe Biden's Health and Human Services memo regarding EMTALA and abortion. The lawsuit challenges Idaho's Defense of Life Act, which protects unborn children from elective abortions.
In response to the case, Kelsey Pritchard, State Public Affairs Director of SBAPro-Life America, expressed her concerns, stating, "The Biden Administration's reinterpretation of EMTALA to require ER doctors to perform abortions spreads misinformation."
Dr. Ingrid Skop, M.D., FACOG, Vice President and Director of Medical Affairs at the Charlotte Lozier Institute, highlighted the importance of pro-life laws, stating, "Twenty-four states have laws protecting life at 12 weeks or sooner, allowing women to receive care in emergency situations."
The Charlotte Lozier Institute, a research arm of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, has been actively involved in supporting Attorney General Raul Labrador's defense of Idaho's law protecting unborn children. Earlier this year, the Supreme Court upheld Idaho's law during the legal process.
Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, a network dedicated to ending abortion, focuses on electing leaders and advocating for life-saving laws. Similarly, the Charlotte Lozier Institute conducts research and analysis on critical issues, with a commitment to the sanctity of human life.
