Washington, D.C. - President Joe Biden's FY 2025 budget proposal has stirred controversy once again as it includes plans to eliminate the Hyde Amendment, a longstanding provision aimed at preventing federal tax dollars from funding elective abortion. Additionally, the budget seeks to do away with the Dornan Amendment, also known as "D.C. Hyde."
Reacting to this development, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America criticized Biden, stating, "Multiple post-Dobbs polls show that at least seven in 10 Americans support significant limits on abortion." The organization also highlighted that "A clear majority of Americans oppose taxpayer-funded abortion on demand domestically, and more than two thirds oppose using tax dollars to promote abortion overseas."
In response to the perceived pro-abortion stance of the Biden-Harris administration, SBA Pro-Life America is actively monitoring their actions and policies. The organization, which comprises more than one million pro-life Americans across the nation, is dedicated to advocating for laws that protect life and electing leaders who align with their values. They have a particular focus on promoting pro-life women leaders.
