Marian University is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Evan Brown '09, who has been recognized as the Chief Financial Officer of the Year by the Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ). Brown, the CFO of The Garrett Company in Greenwood, Indiana, has demonstrated excellence in his field and has consistently proven himself as a top performer.

The IBJ commended Brown for his exceptional work and acknowledged his presence on their prestigious "Fast 25" list in previous years. As the CFO of The Garrett Company, Brown oversees all accounting and financial operations for the organization's ten entities. His responsibilities also extend to the management of 23 active construction projects. Brown's expertise lies in risk management, budget projection, and financial reporting.

The Garrett Company, acknowledging Brown's integral role in their success, highlighted his contributions to their numerous achievements. Having been one of the company's first team members, Brown has played a significant part in securing more than 60 awards for the organization, including recognition as one of the fastest-growing companies and best places to work.
