Local parish couples celebrate milestone wedding anniversaries

Several couples from local parishes are marking significant wedding anniversaries in late November and early December.

Joe and Linda Schuler Atkins, members of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on November 29. Mrs. Atkins is retired from Kroger, while Mr. Atkins is retired from BellSouth. They have four children and five grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McGee, who belong to Epiphany Church, are also celebrating their 50th anniversary on November 29. Mrs. McGee, formerly Janice Goff, retired from hospital purchasing. Mr. McGee worked as a hospital executive with Baptist Health and Humana before retiring. The couple has three children and seven grandchildren. "They celebrated with a family dinner."

Joe and Paulette Fowler Robinson of St. Edward Church will mark their 40th wedding anniversary on December 7. Mr. Robinson retired after 28 years in regional sales management, and Mrs. Robinson retired as an accounting assistant after 27 years of service. They have four children and six grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hudson, members of St. Bartholomew Church, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary on November 27. Mrs. Hudson, formerly Linda Burton, is retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital; Mr. Hudson is a former U.S. Postal Service employee who has also retired. The couple has two children and three grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. William Ehnes of Our Lady of Lourdes Church are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary on November 26 this year. Mrs. Ehnes, previously Carol Johns, is a retired special education teacher; Mr. Ehnes is a retired human resource manager with four children, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
