Men in the area are invited to participate in a Spiritual Exercises retreat led by Regnum Christi from December 11 to 14 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly. The event will be directed by Father Fergal Ó Dúill, L.C., a priest from the Legionaries of Christ.
The retreat is structured around the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola and is designed to help participants reflect on central Christian beliefs and focus on following Christ more closely. Activities during the weekend include guided meditations, periods of silence, adoration, opportunities for confession, daily Mass, praying the rosary, and spiritual direction.
The main portion of the retreat begins with check-in at 5 p.m. on Friday, December 12, followed by a social gathering at 6 p.m. and an opening conference at 7 p.m. The retreat ends at noon on Sunday. There is also an option for attendees to arrive earlier for dinner and overnight stay on Thursday evening and to take part in a full-day formation conference on Friday before the main retreat starts.
