A retreat for individuals with chronic illnesses and their caregivers is scheduled for May 10 at the Flaget Center, located at 1935 Lewiston Drive. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This Maranatha Retreat aims to provide spiritual support through presentations, small-group sharing, prayer, and participation in various sacraments. It is open to ten participants, including young adults and senior citizens who are living with chronic conditions alongside their caregivers.

According to the organizers, the retreat "uses the teachings of St. Ignatius to reignite the sense of purpose and renewed hope for the ill and those who care for them."

Eligible conditions include cancer, diabetes, heart and lung issues, stroke, depression, stress, and anxiety. Participants can discuss their health needs with an organizer to ensure appropriate accommodations are made. Although there is no cost to attend, registration is necessary.

For registration or additional information, interested parties should contact Denise Bouchard at the Family and Life Ministries Office by calling 636-0296 or emailing dbouchard@archlou.org.
