The U.S. House of Representatives has approved H.R. 28, known as the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, with a vote tally of 218-206. This bill aims to amend Title IX by preventing educational institutions that receive federal funding from allowing biological males to participate in female sports.

Terry Schilling, president of the American Principles Project (APP), expressed approval following the bill's passage. He stated, "Last fall, voters handed Republicans control of Congress and the White House with a mandate to reverse the far left’s radical cultural agenda, and particularly its gender insanity. Today, the House took the first step to delivering on that mandate."

Schilling further emphasized the significance of this legislative move for families nationwide: "The passage of this bill is an important victory for families across the country. Allowing males to compete in female sports is obviously both unfair and dangerous to women and girl athletes. That’s why the vast majority of Americans are in agreement on this issue virtually every time it’s polled."

He also acknowledged key figures who contributed to advancing this legislation: "We commend Speaker Mike Johnson, Congressman Greg Steube, and the many other leaders who have been pivotal to advancing this legislation. Now it’s time for the Senate to do its job and get this bill to President Trump’s desk."
