The USA East Province of the Society of Jesus has reinstated Fr. John Michael McDermott, SJ, to full ministry. The theology professor, known as "Father Mike," who served from 2006 to 2023, is now back at the Archdiocese of Detroit’s Sacred Heart Major Seminary. At 82 years old, he takes on the role of Scholar in Residence and will be focusing on researching and completing two books.
