Reverend Larry Silva, Bishop | Diocese of Honolulu

The Diocese of Honolulu has announced a new collaboration with Catholic Social Media by Prenger Solutions Group. This initiative aims to provide an all-in-one social media scheduler, complete with content and resources for parishes. The goal is to enhance digital presence, engage parishioners, and promote the Gospel on social media platforms.

Catholic Social Media is designed to simplify communication with parish communities and complement existing tools like Flocknote, bulletins, and parish websites. "The Catholic Social Media customer service team has a proven track record of helping parishes communicate effectively," according to the Diocese.

A training webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at noon Hawaii time. Parish social media managers are encouraged to attend this session. Participants will learn how to access the tool, set up accounts, and link their parish's Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter profiles. Additionally, they will explore available content such as social media posts, videos, bulletin inserts, and fliers.

Feedback from participants will guide further development of features in collaboration with the Catholic Social Media team. Parishes interested in onboarding are invited to participate.

For inquiries regarding this initiative or the upcoming webinar training session, Lisa Gomes from the Diocese of Honolulu can be contacted via phone or email.
