The Diocese of Brooklyn has announced the passing of Reverend Ruskin Piedra, C.Ss.R., a retired priest from the Baltimore Province of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (Redemptorists). Father Piedra, who resided at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Brooklyn, was born on December 30, 1933. He was ordained on June 19, 1960, and passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024.

The arrangements for Father Piedra are as follows:

A wake will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help R.C. Church located at 526 59th Street in Brooklyn. The wake is scheduled for Friday, December 27, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and Saturday, December 28, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A vigil service will take place at the same church on Friday at 7:30 PM.

The funeral mass is set for Saturday, December 28, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help R.C. Church. Following the mass, burial will occur at Resurrection Cemetery in Staten Island.
