Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez | Archdiocese of Philedelphia
Saint John’s Hospice, a ministry of Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, is collaborating with the Knights of Columbus Philadelphia Chapter to provide Christmas meals to about 200 individuals experiencing homelessness. The event will take place on Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Saint John’s Hospice located at 1221 Race Street in Philadelphia.
Members of the Knights of Columbus will assist SJH staff in serving freshly cooked hot meals. The menu includes turkey, ham, beef, potatoes, green beans and vegetables, along with dessert options such as pie and cake.
The Knights of Columbus visit Saint John’s Hospice three times a year to help serve meals during Easter Sunday, around Thanksgiving, and at Christmastime. This tradition has been ongoing since 1968, five years after the founding of SJH.
