The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has joined forces with The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia to participate in the #iGiveCatholic event for the fifth year. Since 2020, they have raised over $5.6 million for Catholic entities within the Archdiocese. Today marks the official #iGiveCatholic Giving Day.

#iGiveCatholic is an annual event held on #GivingTuesday, following Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. It serves as a day for the Catholic community to come together, give thanks, and contribute to charitable causes.

Last year, the Catholic Charities Appeal of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary Appeal ranked first and second nationally in terms of funds raised through this initiative. This year, 152 Catholic entities in the five-county metropolitan region are participating, including all 15 Archdiocesan high schools and all three Archdiocesan schools of special education.

"#iGiveCatholic presents an opportunity for Catholics, and all those who support the Church’s good works, to affirm their belief in serving others," according to organizers. It also provides parishes, schools, and charitable ministries a chance to gather support during a season traditionally associated with giving.

Recognition goes to Presenting-Level Sponsors: "the Clark Family," "James and Agnes Kim and Family," "McCloskey Financial Group," Partner-Level Sponsor "Saul Ewing LLP," along with Lead-Level Sponsors "Kennedy Printing" and "Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young LLP." They offer prize incentives for participating organizations to raise additional funds through #iGiveCatholic.

For those interested in contributing or learning more about #iGiveCatholic, information is available at philadelphia.igivecatholic.org/ or igivecatholic.org.

The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia is described as "an independent nonprofit community foundation committed to growing philanthropy according to Jesus Christ’s teachings." The organization focuses on charitable fund management and development consulting while addressing diverse donor needs.
