The University of Dallas Board of Trustees has appointed three new members: Frank Muller, Fanny Sheumaker, BA ’88 MBA ’91, and Tan Parker, BA ’93.

Parker, who studied politics at the University of Dallas and received a master’s degree from the London School of Economics, serves in the Texas Senate. He formerly served in the Texas House.

Sheumaker is currently a senior human resources executive at Caliber, having held human resources leadership positions at Parallel, 7-Eleven, Zale Corporation, JCPenney, Dean Foods and Frito-Lay. She formerly served on the National Alumni Board.

“I am honored and excited to join the University of Dallas Board of Trustees,” Sheumaker said. “My husband and I met at UDallas, earned undergraduate and MBA degrees at UDallas, and were married at UDallas. The university has had a significant role in our lives, and I am eager to be of service to such a valuable institution.”

Muller, who studied accounting at the University of Texas at Austin, is a seasoned capital markets executive and has held leading roles at Morgan Stanley, Hines and Behringer. He is president of Hammer and Nails Texas, a company he formed to develop and manage luxury men’s grooming shops around Texas.

“I am honored to serve the University of Dallas, which strives to be the preeminent Catholic university in the country. Faith and reason intersect at this university where the whole person is carefully formed and prepared to serve,” Muller stated. “Building upon the great Western canon, this university seeks to create students who strive to learn how to think, not what to think. Freedom is expressed by seeking truth. I am honored to be a part of that search.”

“The University of Dallas is blessed with a remarkably dedicated Board of Trustees, and I am so grateful for these new trustees who have committed themselves to dedicating their time, treasure and talent to furthering the distinctive mission of the University of Dallas,” said University President Jonathan J. Sanford.
