Franciscan University of Steubenville will host its fourth annual Career Day for Criminal Justice on Friday, September 20. Over 25 organizations and employers from across the United States will be in attendance to talk with participants and help them explore careers and internships in the justice, legal, and law enforcement fields.
The free event will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Pope St. Paul VI Conference Center in Christ the Teacher Hall at Franciscan University. Current and prospective Franciscan University students, high school students, and the general public are invited. Students of all majors are encouraged to attend to discover career options.
Agencies in attendance will include the United States Army, Air Force ROTC, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy; United States Capitol Police; Drug Enforcement Agency; IRS Criminal Investigation Unit; Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Ohio state police; Ohio Department of Natural Resources; Ave Maria University, Cleveland State University, and Duquesne University law schools; police departments from throughout the region; forensics; and more.
Dr. Charles Nemeth, director of Franciscan University’s Criminal Justice Program, also will be present to discuss and answer questions about the undergraduate and graduate academic programs.
