Approximately 60,000 individuals attended the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis from July 17-21. The event was a significant part of the years-long Eucharistic Revival initiated by the United States' bishops.

Participants heard from notable Catholic leaders, media influencers, and clergy, including actor Jonathan Roumie, Bishop Robert Barron, and Father Mike Schmitz. Attendees engaged in quiet adoration at Lucas Oil Stadium and other local churches and participated in a large eucharistic procession through downtown Indianapolis. Daily Masses were held at the stadium.

Vicki Compton, a parishioner at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Springfield, described the experience as "hopeful," highlighting the unity among 60,000 pilgrims. Gracie Price, a sixth-grader from Christ the King School in Springfield, shared her emotional response during adoration: “It was God saying, ‘I am here.’”

Father Zach Samples noted the remarkable silence during adoration despite tens of thousands being present. Father Troy Niemerg reflected on how adoration influenced his path to priesthood.

Charity Mizera of Raymond found her experience "emotional" and expressed hope for revitalizing faith among attendees. Katy Niemerg of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish called it a "historic moment for the Church."

Father Alfred Tumwesigye emphasized that “the holy Eucharist is the source and summit of everything,” underscoring its role in unifying believers under Jesus Christ.

The Congress concluded with a Mass led by Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle as Pope Francis’ special envoy. Cardinal Tagle conveyed Pope Francis' desire for "conversion to the Eucharist." Bishop Andrew Cozzens announced plans for another National Eucharistic Congress in 2033 and an additional pilgrimage from Indianapolis to Los Angeles in 2025.
