The Diocese of Springfield in Illinois will host the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage from July 8-12, covering seven cities within its jurisdiction. This event is part of a larger national initiative culminating in the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis.

Bishop Michael McGovern of the Diocese of Belleville will initiate the pilgrimage by handing off the national traveling monstrance to Bishop Thomas John Paprocki at Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Collinsville on July 8. The day's events include adoration, a Eucharistic procession, and witness talks.

On July 9, activities will continue with Mass at Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Alton, followed by a 3.7-mile procession through Alton to St. Mary Church for Benediction. In Quincy, participants will process from St. Peter Church to the grave of Venerable Father Augustine Tolton.

The pilgrimage proceeds to Girard and Springfield on July 10, featuring processions around local monasteries and churches. An all-night adoration session is scheduled at St. Francis of Assisi Church.

Springfield and Effingham will host events on July 11, including a five-mile procession through Springfield ending with Benediction at various churches.

The final day, July 12, includes activities in Effingham and Teutopolis with Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church and processions concluding at St. Francis of Assisi Church.

Participants are encouraged to join the processions, engage in adoration sessions, attend dinners for fellowship, and listen to witness talks from the national eucharistic procession team.
