Rev. James D. Conley, D.D., S.T.L. | Diocese of Lincoln website
Bishop James Conley will celebrate an outdoor Memorial Day Mass at 10 a.m. on May 27 at Calvary Cemetery, located at 3880 L St., Lincoln.
Memorial Day is a day of remembrance and gratitude for all men and women who have died during military service for the United States. Calvary’s annual Memorial Day Mass, celebrated at the round-about on the cemetery grounds, is said especially for all military service members, as well as for the souls of those buried in the cemetery.
All are welcome to attend the Mass. Some chairs will be available, but attendees may bring their own chairs as well. Refreshments will be served after Mass. Chick-fil-A and The Venue will serve samples, and visitors are welcome to tour the cemetery’s latest remodeling project – the office and the Divine Mercy Community Room. People are also encouraged to view the Eagle Scout project underway on the southeast fence line near the 14th station of the cross.
