Marian University has announced that senior student Trey Gibson '24 has been selected as an Orr Fellow for the Class of 2024. This prestigious honor is bestowed upon only approximately 80 students out of 916 applicants from over 60 universities.
Gibson distinguished himself amidst intense competition and secured a full-time position at Resultant, an Indianapolis IT Services and Data Analytics company. His journey to this point reflects his resilience, unwavering commitment, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
"I am beyond excited to begin my career as a project coordinator at Resultant, with the added bonus of being Marian's fourth Orr Fellow," said Gibson. "I'm looking forward to growing alongside other fellows in Indianapolis and can't wait to recruit future fellows this fall!"
Earlier in January 2024, three other Marian University seniors were also selected for the highly competitive Orr Fellowship. Linsey Rodas-Hernandez, Brylee Koontz, and Jenny Rodriguez will work at Stitch, an Indianapolis marketing technology company while Koontz will be employed by The Heritage Group, an Indianapolis construction company.
"I am delighted for Trey," stated Dr. Lori Rumreich, Marian's associate professor of marketing & sales. "With his remarkable abilities and determination, Trey is poised to make a lasting impact within the Orr Fellowship community and beyond."
Orr Fellows have not only excelled in their respective fields but have also become influential leaders in the Indiana economic ecosystem. Many former Fellows have risen to become company leaders or even founders of their own businesses. Some have even returned to Orr as Partner Companies, further enriching the fellowship's network and impact.
Most recently, Gibson and his Marian Byrum School of Business Marketing teammates were recognized for securing an impressive second-place national victory in the esteemed American Marketing Association Case Competition in April 2024.
