DePaul University has recently announced the addition of four distinguished leaders to its Board of Trustees, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise from various fields. The new trustees include David Booth, Sister Barbara Reid, Stephanie D. Shipp, and Lucino Sotelo.
DePaul President Robert L. Manuel expressed his enthusiasm for the new appointments, stating, "I’m excited for our newest trustees to share their experience and unique perspectives with our university. David Booth, who is the associate vice president of Basketball Operations for the NBA and a former DePaul basketball player, expressed his excitement about reuniting with the university, saying, "I'm excited to be a part of the DePaul family again and to give back to the university that gave me so much."
Sister Barbara Reid, O.P., the first woman president of Catholic Theological Union, shared her honor in joining the Board, stating, "I am honored to join the Board of Trustees and contribute to the mission and vision of DePaul University."
Stephanie D. Shipp, DBA, the global head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Cytiva, expressed her eagerness to work towards fostering diversity and inclusivity, saying, "I am thrilled to join the esteemed Board of Trustees at DePaul University and work towards fostering a more diverse and inclusive environment."
Lucino Sotelo, an executive vice president at Northern Trust, emphasized his commitment to supporting education and community upliftment through his role as a trustee, stating, "I am humbled to be appointed as a trustee and look forward to supporting the university's commitment to education and community upliftment."
