In a recent attempt to push forward the controversial Women's Health Protection Act, also known as the Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act, Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives faced another failure. This legislation, backed by President Biden, seeks to impose "all-trimester abortions" nationwide and override existing pro-life laws.

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser expressed her disappointment with House Democrats, stating, "SBA Pro-Life America has scored against previous versions of the bill and issued a memo detailing its extreme provisions that effectively expand abortion on demand through all nine months of pregnancy."

The push for this bill is rooted in the abortion industry's perspective on viability. During her testimony before the Oversight and Government Reform Committee in November 2019, Dr. Colleen McNicholas, Chief Medical Officer for Planned Parenthood for the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri, stated, "There is no particular gestational age. There are some pregnancies in which the fetus will never be viable… My practice includes abortion care through the point of viability and as we previously discussed that could be at any point."

However, polling conducted by Marist, Harvard-Harris, AP-NORC, and NPR consistently shows that a majority of Americans support limiting abortion to the first trimester of pregnancy. SBA Pro-Life America is actively monitoring the pro-abortion stance of the Biden-Harris administration.
