Students at Iona University Find Success in Their Passions

Iona University has always been known for its commitment to student success, and this year is no exception. Several students have made significant strides in their respective fields, showcasing their passion and dedication.

Klover Phillips, a psychology and criminal justice major from the class of '24, is one such student. Phillips has found a way to combine his interests in both fields during his time at Iona. He says, "I have always been fascinated by the human mind and the criminal justice system. Being able to study both subjects has been a dream come true for me."

Ariana Rodriguez, also from the class of '24, is pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. She shares, "I have always had a passion for education, and Iona has provided me with the tools and support I need to achieve my goal. I am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of future generations."

Entrepreneurship has been a driving force for Tonian Fullerton, a student at Iona's Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Fullerton has discovered her voice and passion through her studies at Iona. She says, "The institute has given me the platform to turn my ideas into reality. I am excited to see where my entrepreneurial journey takes me."

Louis Porco, a student in the class of '25, has won a national entrepreneurship scholarship, showcasing his business acumen and innovative ideas. Porco says, "I am honored to receive this scholarship and grateful for the support I have received from Iona. This recognition motivates me to continue pursuing my entrepreneurial dreams."

Caroline Scott, a science and soccer standout from the class of '25, reflects on her research experience at Iona. She shares, "I have always been passionate about both science and sports. Iona has provided me with the opportunity to combine these interests and further my understanding of scientific research."

Chase Bateman, a student in the class of '25, has expanded his knowledge of global markets through an asset management internship. Bateman says, "The internship has given me real-world experience and a deeper understanding of the complexities of global markets. I am grateful for this opportunity to learn and grow."

Mentorship has played a crucial role in Michael Faughnan's journey at Iona. Faughnan shares, "I have been fortunate to have a mentor who has guided me throughout my academic and personal development. Their support and guidance have been invaluable."

Greta Stjade, a student in the class of '24, believes that the sky's the limit when it comes to success. Stjade says, "Iona has taught me that with hard work and determination, anything is possible. I am excited to see where my future takes me."

Accounting has been a passion for Lucas Haddad, a student in the class of '24. Haddad has furthered his knowledge of the field through a prestigious "Big Four" internship. He shares, "The internship has given me insight into the world of accounting and has solidified my passion for the field. I am grateful for the opportunities Iona has provided me."

Christina Mangiafreno, from the class of '24, has gained valuable industry experience through an internship with Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. Mangiafreno says, "Working at Regeneron has allowed me to apply my classroom knowledge to real-world situations. I am grateful for the chance to learn and grow in such a prestigious company."

These students at Iona University are a testament to the institution's commitment to student success. Through their passion, dedication, and the support of the university, they are making remarkable strides in their respective fields. As they continue their academic journey, it is clear that the sky is the limit for these talented individuals.
