Marian University is excited to announce the inaugural “Summer at Marian” summer camps fair, a free community-wide event that will take place on Saturday, Feb. 24. This event provides families with an easy and convenient way to register their K-12 students for Marian University’s popular summer camps, while also enjoying a fun-filled afternoon of activities.

The event will be held at Marian University’s Alumni Hall from 3 to 6 p.m. It is not just a fair, but a gateway to a transformative summer experience. Participants will have the opportunity to take guided tours of Marian’s historic campus at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Those who attend the 2 p.m. campus tour will receive a free Chick-fil-A meal voucher, additional food vouchers, special Marian University promotional items, and more.

Irorobeje Crystal Owhoso-Maddox, the director of Marian’s K-12 School and Community Programs, expressed her excitement about the event, saying, "I am thrilled to announce the university's inaugural summer camps fair where creativity and exploration converge. This event is not just a registration hub; it’s an opportunity to connect with the entire family and bridge community connections. Marian supports the education continuum by aiming to inspire youthful curiosity and boundless potential with activities including scholarship opportunities - a chance to ignite the spark of passion in every camper."

Summer at Marian will feature various activity stations for Marian's K-12 summer camps, allowing families to explore the different camp options available. On-site Marian University summer camp registration will also be available, making it easy to secure a spot for your child. In addition, the first 100 guests will receive free Chick-fil-A food vouchers. Scholarship giveaways will provide an opportunity for some lucky campers to receive financial assistance. The event will also have a D.J., double-Dutch and bounce houses for added entertainment.

As a bonus, attendees of the Summer at Marian event will receive free tickets to the Marian University double-header basketball games at 1 and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, by emailing camps@marian.edu after registering to attend the event.

Marian University offers a wide variety of summer camps to cater to different interests and passions. Some of the camps available include the Innovation Through Engineering Camp, Healthcare Camp, and the Klipsch Educators College Leadership Institute.
